Changes to Course Completion Requirements for Online courses

Please note that some changes have been made to the online training modules 1 - 7 for Lay Workers and Volunteers.

For all face to face training sessions there is NO CHANGE. Training facilitators will continue to provide copies of their training register to the presbytery in order for the presbytery to provide a certificate for each participant that has completed the training modules.

However from 2 June 2020, each online course will require that each student complete the Quiz, in order to obtain their certificate for that module.  Alerts are in place to confirm completion of a course once a successful attempt is made for each Quiz. These alerts are accessible by each presbytery and enable each presbytery to confirm course completion. The Introduction section for each module has been updated with information about this change, and includes Instructions.

Lynde, once presbyteries confirm completion will Moodle send the student an "automated" certificate?

Hi Andi,
This process has not been set up in Moodle - presbyteries are still responsible for supplying the certificate so Moodle doesn't automatically provide one. I am not sure if the Downs presbytery has alerts set up - I can check this with you or we can book in a zoom chat to talk further if you like?
Thank you so much for your enquiry :-)
